The Kala "Longneck" soprano is essentially a soprano sized body with a concert sized neck on it.  This provides a slightly longer scale length, which equals slightly higher string tension (to me this is more comfortable) and a little wider fret spacing to squeeze your fingers into those more difficult chords.  

The solid spruce top creates a punchy and bold tone that is balanced by the the mahogany back and sides.  

The KA-SSLNG is a great option if you like the look of a soprano but prefer the feel of a concert uke. 

The back and sides on the KA-SLNG are laminated Mahogany and the body is nicely bound with a shiny gloss finish.  This ukulele comes fully set up and has Aquila strings on it.  Ready to go!
